A Continuing Care Community for Life
- Imagine….. a beautiful setting in which to live as an independent senior in the Kazabazua region
- Imagine….. a place where seniors and others who need “a little help” can live without having to leave their community
- Imagine….. a place where active seniors and those with physical challenges can enjoy access to a fitness centre, pool and other services (gift shop, ice cream parlour, banking, legal, medical, etc.)
- Imagine….. a place where end-of-life care can take place in the midst of your community
Dreams can come true….. Did you know that members of your community have been dreaming of such a place for three years now, and we have incorporated a non-profit organization that aims to see built in Kazabazua a bilingual continuing care community that offers housing and other services for independent seniors, physically challenged adults, and elders in need of long term care and palliative care.
Our project name is: Village des aînées de la Vallée-de-la-Gatineau / Gatineau Valley Retirement Village. Started as an idea around a kitchen table, it was noted that there was a lack of options for seniors and physically challenged adults who can no longer stay in their homes or be cared for in their homes to remain in their community.
We are presently exploring the suitability of a 33 acre campus to be located in the village of Kazabazua. Although located in Kazabazua, our vision is to serve the needs of seniors and physically challenged adults in all under-served towns in the Gatineau Valley.
