Due to a generous gift by the family of the late Peggy Herbert, donations made to the GVRV between Dec 1, 2020 and Apr.1, 2021 will be matched, up to $5000. Donations should stipulate that they are part of the “Peggy’s gift” Campaign. With moving trucks, family and friend muscles, smiles and excitement, all 5 apartments of Phase 1 of the Gatineau Valley Retirement Village are now occupied!!! What an exhilarating confirmation of the hard work, perseverance and outright tenacity of our area’s volunteers!! This first beautiful building is the result of 10 years of drive, determination and much learning. Thank you to everyone who helped make this dream a reality!!!

Phase One begins!. * As the result of much effort and support from the Municipal council, we are delighted to announce that Phase 1, a five unit building, is well underway. The picture below shows the designer’s concept. We still anticipate to be able to welcome the first residents by February, 2019.
